Days 1-3
Do not remove the plastic covering for at least four hours. You may keep your tattoo wrapped the first night for comfort. Cleanliness is key to healing, so use a mild antibacterial soap with warm water. Gently wash the tattoo three times a day, letting it air dry afterward. If preferred, use paper towels to pat dry.  To reduce risk of infection, avoid hot water, sweating, and friction. Do not submerge the tattoo in water. After washing, apply a very thin layer of ointment—just enough for a shine three times a day.
Days 4+
As your tattoo heals, you’ll notice peeling and flaking—this is natural as fresh skin emerges. Don’t exfoliate; simply keep the area moisturized to reduce dryness. If using Tattoo Goo or Aquaphor, now switch to an unscented lotion such as Lubriderm. If you’re using Hustle Butter, continue applying at least three times a day. You may use it more liberally at this stage to help with the dryness. Avoid sun exposure, swimming, and hot tubs for at least two weeks.
After a week, your tattoo should look more settled. Monitor for any signs of infection (e.g., excessive redness, swelling, or pus). If anything feels off, consult both me and a doctor right away. Remember, following these instructions and keeping in touch can prevent complications.

- Avoid picking or scratching as it peels.
- Refrain from swimming and tanning for two weeks.
